Pennypickkle's Workshop - Bakersfield, CA
If you are visiting Temecula with your kids, you simply can’t miss out on the eccentric Pennypickle’s Workshop. The workshop is actually a brilliant children’s museum with plenty of fun and learning opportunities for children of all ages.
The place is packed with innovative scientific gadgets, magnets, optics, unusual clocks, light shows and more. And my kids have found the place incredibly fascinating time after time, it being one of their favorite spots in town.
The workshop sits squarely in the middle of the Old Town Temecula. The legendary Professor Phineas is the driving force behind this workshop. And he is often away on his time traveling ventures.
Although really geared towards the kids, the workshop is the perfect place to have fun for adults as well. The unusual clocks, time traveling gadgets, the Secret Maze, the Curiosity Corner and other fun offerings are sure to bring out the child in you. The workshop is based at a 7500 square feet house. It has a number of spacious rooms with each room themed around a different subject including Time & Travel, Perception & Illusion, Water Resources, Power Electricity, Dynamic Earth and more.
The best thing about the Pennypickle’s Workshop is the interactive exhibits. Instead of simply watching the exhibits, your kids can interact with them and have some real fun. Every room has gadgets, hidden secrets, mysterious passageways, creative machines, clue hunts and more. If you are visiting the workshop, you are sure to have as much fun as the kids.
